(AGE) has prepared the <br /> enclosed work plan for the abandonment of five ground water monitoring wells at 901 West Fremont <br /> Street, Stockton, California. <br /> AIso enclosed are well destruction permits and the associated permit fees.Abandonment procedures <br /> will be scheduled upon approval of this work plan. <br /> INTRODUCTIONBAC KGROUND <br /> It is our understanding that five two-inch diameter ground water monitoring wells (MW-1 through <br /> MW-5)are located at the site and were part of a subsurface investigation of the former underground <br /> storage tank (UST) area. Wells MW-1, through MW-4 are approximately 25 feet in depth; MW-5 <br /> is approximately 30 feet in depth. The wells were installed using 8-inch diameter hollow stem <br /> augers. <br /> PROCEDURES <br /> Wells MW-1, MW-3 and MW-4 will be filled with grout; wells MW-2 and MW-5 will be over- <br /> drilled using a hollow-stem auger drill rig. <br /> Each well cover box will be removed and the well will be subsequently over-drilled to a depth of <br /> approximately 3 feet bsg utilizing a truck-mounted drill rig equipped with 12-inch diameter hollow <br /> 837 Shaw Road,Stockton,California 95215 <br /> Telephone (209)467-1006 FAX(209) 467-1118 <br />
