some
JUN 19 1995
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
PERMIT/SERVICES
effective method for determining the lateral extent of both soil
& groundwater plumes . Based upon the results of that work,
additional groundwater monitoring wells may be required in order
to fully define the extent of contamination and design an
effective remediation program. This workplan has been prepared
to accomplish those goals .
PROPERTY LOCATION:
913 West Fremont Street, Stockton, California. Also referred to
as 921 W. Fremont in prior reports . Refer to LATESI
more details .
PROPERTY OWNER:
George Lechich, P.O. The gradient is to the north/northeast,
which agrees closely with regional data.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF PRIOR WORK PERFORMED ON THE SITE:
February, 1988 - 500 gallon UST which had contained gasoline was
removed from site. A soil sample taken at 13 ' bgl revealed the
presence of petroleum hydrocarbons . Spoil was returned to hole &
no further work done.
February & March, 1994 - Three (3) groundwater monitoring wells
were placed on the property. Wells #1 & #3 did not reveal any
contamination in either soil or groundwater samples . However,
MW-2, in a downgradient position from the removed UST, measured
BTEX & TPH-G in both soil & water samples . Hydraulic gradient
indicated to be to the north.
