KLEINFELDERME
File No. 20-2182-24 RKEIV
April 11, 1990 MAY 3 1 1990
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
PERMIT/SERVICES
Taylor Development
6333 Pacific Avenue, Suite 374 -
Stockton, CA 95207
f=
Attention: Mr. Norm Taylor
Subject: PERCOLATION TESTS /
PROPOSED LEE ESTATES SUBDIVISION
EAST OF STOCKTON
SANA-Q"IN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
U-90-18 ) -
Gentlemen:
Presented in this letter are the results of percolation testing performed for the
propos6d Lee Estates subdivision o be located east of White Lane and south of
Highway 88, east of Stockton in San Joaquin County, California. Reference is made to
our geotechnical investigation report dated February 20, 1990.
One approximate 3-foot deep percolation test was performed on each of the 9 proposed
lots for our February 20, 1990 report. Three of the lots produced passing tests
according to San Joaquin County requirements. This letter presents the results of
deeper percolation tests performed on each of the 6 lots where failing tests occurred.
The percolation test holes were drilled and set up on April 2, 1990 using a truck-
mounted drill rig equipped with continuous-flight augers. The test holes had a
diameter of approximately 6 inches and extended to depths varying from approximately
8 to 14-1/2 feet below existing ground surface. The test holes were cased with
slotted PVC pipe to avoid disturbance of the soils when the water was poured into the
pipe. The percolation tests were performed on April 4, 5, and 6, 1990 by a
representative of our firm. The test holes were filled with approximately 3 feet of
relatively clean water the day before the tests were performed and left to soak
overnight. Our representative returned to the site to perform the percolation tests in
KLEINFELDER 2825 East Myrtle Street, Stockton, CA 95205 (209) 948-1345
