-Woodbridge Design Guidelines <br /> Chapter 4-Application Process <br /> • The proposed scale, mass, coverage, site and architectural design of the <br /> proposed project are compatible and harmonious with surrounding <br /> development and the historic resources of the District. <br /> • For design review of historic resources, the project preserves or improves <br /> the histol—ic integrity of the building. <br /> If the DRC determines that the project is not in compliance with the <br /> Woodbridge Design Guidelines, the DRC shall: <br /> • Recommend modifications to the project that will bring the project into <br /> compliance with the Woodbridge Design Guidelines. In this instance, the <br /> DRC shall direct the applicant to prepare modifications for reconsideration <br /> at a subsequent meeting to ensure compliance with the Special Purpose <br /> Plan. <br /> 4.1.5 Applicant Will Receive Approval/Modification Letter from the <br /> Community Development Department: <br /> The applicant will receive notification from the Community Development <br /> Department of the DRC recommendation. The applicant may proceed with <br /> the project once obtaining approval of the Woodbridge Design Guidelines Site <br /> Improvement Plan. Depending on the scope of the project, this may include <br /> obtaining necessary land use permits and/or building permits. <br /> 4.1.6 Applicant May Appeal a DRC Recommendation to the Planning <br /> Commission: <br /> If the DRC determines the project is not in compliance with the Woodbridge <br /> Design Guidelines, the applicant may appeal the decision to the Planning <br /> Commission within ten (10) days from the date of the letter recommending the <br /> modification. <br /> The applicant must submit an Appeal of Staff Action application to the <br /> Community Development Department in order to appeal the DRC's <br /> determination to the Planning Commission. A copy of the application form <br /> may be obtained at the Community Development Department. A fee is <br /> required for the submittal of the Appeal of Staff Action application. <br /> If the appeal is denied by the Planning Commission, the applicant may appeal <br /> that decision to the Board of Supervisors. <br />
