{ 6.5 Sanitation <br />+ <br /> The SSHO shall ensure that adequate drinking water, toilet facilities, and hand washing facilities <br /> 4 are available daily to all field personnel. For drinking water, at least one gallon per person shall <br /> be provided daily. Potable water shall be supplied from a pressurized source (i.e., tap water) or <br /> k commercial) available bottled water. Disposable drinking cup,s shall be provided at each work <br />� <br /> location, and shall be stored and made available in a sanitary manner. Any non-potable sources <br /> of water shall be clearly marked. <br /> i <br /> Sanitary facilities shall be immediately available at all times to'!field personnel (i.e., on-site or <br /> immediately adjacent rest room facilities or on-site portable chemical toilets). Toilet facilities <br /> shall be within immediate access for field personnel (i.e., within five minutes). <br /> k <br /> Hand washing facilities shall be adjacent to the decontamination station at each work location. <br /> Hand washing facilities shall consist of soap, clean water, wash basins, and single-use towels. <br /> li Any wastewater collected shall be disposed ofproperly. <br /> i 6.6 Housekeeping <br /> A strict housekeeping program shall be implemented daily at each work location. The purpose <br /> of the housekeeping program is to reduce or prevent accidents and prevent unwanted spread of <br /> �,•; contamination, debris, or other material to any areas. The SSHO and Field Supervisor shall be <br /> responsible for ensuring that good housekeeping is maintained at all times during the project. <br /> The following housekeeping procedures apply to this project: <br /> 0 Only in-use equipment and tools shall be off-loaded from vehicles. <br /> 1 • Work areas shall be continuously "policed" by fireld personnel and the Field <br /> Supervisor for cleanliness and orderliness. <br /> All spills shall be immediately cleaned up. <br /> • Any loose dirt and debris that is not part of a designated spoils pile (from - <br /> excavations) shall be immediately cleaned up. <br /> • No dirt or loose debris shall be left in any work area, or allowed to leave any work <br /> area either by vehicle, foot or wind movement. :'. <br /> L • In wind conditions, excavated soils may be lightly wetted with a water fog to <br /> reduce airborne dust.
