F
15 February 2002
• AGE-NC Project No 98-0500
shallow ground water wells, and ground water elevations were calculated at 30 86 feet and 30 89 feet
below mean sea level In well MW-6 and MW-7, the deeper ground water wells
I Ground water table elevation at the site increased an average 6 5 feet between the October 2001 and
January 2002 ground water monitoring events The ground water elevation data for the January 2002
ground water monitoring event is depicted in Figure 3
Ground water flow direction at the site was generally toward the east and south-southeast at a
gradient of approximately 0 001 ft/ft in the northern part of the monitoring well network to as much
as 0 004 ft/ft in the southern part
3 2 LABORATORY RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
A total of seven ground water samples were collected from monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-7
and submitted for laboratory analysis for the above mentioned constituents
. The samples collected on 24 January 2002 contained the following
' The sample from ground water monitoring well MW-5 contained TPH-g and TPH-d at
• P
concentrations 190 micrograms per liter(µg/1) and 99 µg/1, respectively
• 1,2-DCA was detected in ground water samples MW-5 and MW-6 at 36 µg/1 and 2 1 µg/1
' 0 The remaining samples had no detectable concentrations of target analytes
Analytical results of the monitoring well ground water samples are summarized in Table 2 The
' laboratory reports (MAI I D 89163 to 89169) and chain-of-custody forms are presented
in Appendix B
' 4 0. C ONCLUSIONS
' The findings from the January 2002 ground water monitoring event are as follows
' • Ground water flow direction at the site was generally toward the east and east-southeast at
a gradient from 0 001 ft/ft to 0 004 ft/ft
• The increase of ground water table elevation of approximately 6 5 feet between October 2001
' and January 2002 is probably due to seasonal fluctuation (winter recharge)
• The ground water elevation appeared to be within the screen intervals of wells MW-1
' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
1
