PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES a'a-z
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
JOOI KHANNA Ni 1),NI P II 1
Hed1 )Oill(er
P.O. Box 20)9 • (1601 Fast Hazelton Avenue) • Stockton, California 95201
(209) 468-34(x)
March 17, 1992
Mr. Stanley S. Moore
3737 N. Wilson Way
P.O. Box 8098
Stockton, CA 95208
Re: Occupancy Permit, 3975 N. Wilson Way
The Fish and Game project located at 3975 N. Wilson Way, Stockton is in violation
of the terms and conditions of San Joaquin County Site Approval #SA-91-23 and
Ordinance #549. The violations are a result of the unapproved and illegal connection
of the existing Fish and Game building to the new septic system designed to serve the
new building. A situation has been created in which potentially hazardous laboratory
wastes are discharged to a system designed and approved for domestic waste only.
Previous attempts to contact you regarding this problem have gone unanswered.
It is now the intent of San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental
Health Division to deny approval of the occupancy permit for the new Fish and Game
building until this issue is resolved satisfactorily.
The Environmental Health Division recommends that the project foreman contact Jerry
Wickes, Registered Environmental Health Specialist of this office, at 468-3459 to
schedule a field inspection. All incoming connections to the septic tank must be fully
exposed so that Mr. Wickes can verify that any unapproved connections have been
eliminated. Mr. Wickes will then request that the exposed connections be backfilled
while he is on site. A $53.00 per hour charge will be assessed for these services.
Satisfactory resolution of this matter will avoid a delay In the occupancy of the
building.
Fred Kaufman, Program Manager
Environmental Health Division
cc: San Joaquin County Building Division
A Dkiinn(A`m Joaquin foamy Ikal(h(All knue (i\
