A hazardous <br /> waste manifest listing those products must be submitted to the SJLHD <br /> within 30 days of tank removal . <br /> 2. If tanks are to be used as scrap metal or reused, a receipt from <br /> the scrap yard, or others, must be submitted within 30 days of <br /> tank removal to the SJLHD. <br /> 3 . A sample must be taken from below tank and analyzed <br /> for the following: <br /> 1 . BTX (EPA 8020) 3 . Chlorinated solvents__ <br /> 2. TPHC (EPA 8015 mod. ) (EPA 8010) <br /> 4 . Call for inspection 48 hrs . prior to removal , calls after 12: 00 <br /> cannot be scheduled for the following day. <br /> 5. Provide for possible handling and disposal of any soil that <br /> that is excavated in advance, due to failed percision test------note <br /> that area may have to left open for some time and area must be <br /> secured. <br /> 6 . Tank must be handled as hazardous waste unless cleaned on site <br /> and any residual must also be handled as hazardous waste. <br /> 7 . If tank is to be cut up onsite, approval of the local fire <br /> official must be obtained. (Note that tank must be cleaned prior <br /> to any cutting and residuals handled as hazardous waste. <br /> 8. Tank cleaning must be done as per DOHS regulations . <br />
