Peltier Rd, Acampo
APN 017-260-30 and 017-260-31, SR0081407, PA-1800127
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the Soil
Suitability/Nitrate Loading (SSNL) Study, dated November 12, 2019, submitted on October 15, 2019,
for the above noted location, and has the following comments for your consideration.
The SSNL was prepared to determine the suitability of the above noted parcel for onsite wastewater
treatment system (OWTS) usage and the potential impact of nitrate to groundwater for the proposed
project development. The proposed development project includes:
1. Minor subdivision to re-align current parcels into a 2.0 acre home site parcel 1 (APN 017-
260-31) and 36.62 acre agricultural land parcel 2 (APN 017-260-30). The existing residential
and agricultural land use will remain the same.
2. The OWTS usage for the existing 3 bedroom residence with effluent waste of 420 gallons a
day and future residence on parcel 2 with effluent waste 5,500 gallon per day.
Based on the information provided, the EHD finds that the SSNL Study supports the suitability for
standard OWTS usage for the existing parcel, pursuant to San Joaquin County Ordinance Code Title
9, Section 9-1105.2(d), provided the existing OWTS and 100% replacement areas can meet all
required minimum setbacks.
Any deviation to project development or OWTS usage other than mentioned above shall require new
Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study.
If you have any questions please contact Naseem Ahmed, Registered Environmental Health
Specialist, REHS, at nahmed@sjgov.org or (209) 468-3436.
Michael Kith, REHS
Program Coordinator
c: Terracon Consultants- 902 Industrial Way- Lodi, CA 95240
1868 E.
