Santa Fe Rd, Escalon
APN 249-190-13, SR0081461
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the Soil Suitability/Nitrate
Loading (SSNL) Study, dated November 18, 2019 and submitted on November 25, 2019 for the above noted
location and has the following comments for your consideration.
The SSNL was prepared to determine the suitability of the above noted parcel for onsite wastewater treatment
system (OWTS) usage and the potential impact of nitrate to groundwater for the proposed project
development. The proposed development project includes:
1. A new two-bedroom modular home on a 3.49 acres parcel.
2. The OWTS usage from the existing 3 bedroom residence and the new proposed two-bedroom modular
home resulting in effluent waste of 750 gallons per day.
Based on the information provided, the EHD finds that the SSNL Study supports the suitability for standard
OWTS usage for the existing parcel, pursuant to San Joaquin County Ordinance Code Title 9, Section 9-
1105.2(d), provided the existing OWTS and 100% replacement areas can meet all required minimum
setbacks.
Any deviation to project development or OWTS usage other than mentioned above shall require new Soil
Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study.
If you have any questions please contact Naseem Ahmed, Registered Environmental Health Specialist,
REHS, at nahmed@sjgov.org or (209) 468-3436.
Michael Kith, REHS
Program Coordinator
c: Live Oak GeoEnvironmental- 407 W.
