If your permit becomes void, Section 303 (d) of the Uniform
Building Code requires you to renew your permit at one half the amount
required for a new permit provided suspension or abandonment has not
exceeded one year.
The Uniform Building Code states that an extension of time for 180 days
may be considered if circumstances beyond the control of the permittee
have prevented action from being taken. If you feel an extension of
time is warranted, you must submit a WRITTEN request to the Building
Official, prior to expiration, stating your circumstances. The telephone number for the 24 hour recorder
is 468-3165 .
