S A N J O A Q U I N Environmental Health Department <br /> C_ 0 l_i N l Y ---- <br /> Complaint Record Daily Time and Activity Summary from 1/1/2014 to <br /> 2/17/2060 for C00049895 located at <br /> 3028 NAVY DR <br /> Activity Date Recorded by <br /> 06/04/2019 Initial notification received at approximately 2:00 pm. Called and spoke to Jordan PE 2546 RUVALCABA <br /> 30 min Bottorff, Environmental Health and Safety Manager for Pacific Ethanol. Jordan SC 544 <br /> stated that spill was up to 50 gallons of corn syrup. The spill occurred on concrete. <br /> Spill was caused by a driver who overfilled a container. The spill was cleaned up <br /> by the facility and the product was added into the"wet cake" at the facility to be <br /> used in the process. <br /> Notice to abate emailed to Jordan Bottorff at jbottorff@pacificethanol.com <br /> 11/15/2019 Abated complaint. PE 2546 RUVALCABA <br /> 12 min SC 007 <br /> 12/06/2019 Answered questions posed by lead senior regarding incident and update PE 2546 RUVALCABA <br /> 30 min responsible party information. SC 007 <br /> The corn syrup involved in the spill, from partial recollection and from researching <br /> ethanol production corn syrup is a byproduct of ethanol production. Wet cake are <br /> the solids from the corn after it has been mashed and gone through a process, it is <br /> also referred to as wet distillers grain. This may go through the process for several <br /> times and in the end it may be sold as animal feed and corn syrup is added. <br /> Re-abated complaint <br /> Page 1 of 1 <br />
