Box 9200 <br /> Stockton, CA 95208 <br /> Dear Mr. Yoneshige: <br /> The analytical results-fram,did April 1995 clararly,SmRindvater sampli.ag event-at.tbe,Yan <br /> Den Bergh Foods facility m Stod wa, conducted by BSK and Associates, Inc., yielded <br /> apparently anomalous detections of total petroleum hydrocarbons (fl" as diesel (60 pg/L), <br /> benzene (0.5 "A.) and toluene (0.6 pg/L) in monitoring well MW-5. <br /> To verify these mmlts, IT Corpwmm resampled well MW-5 on May 22, 1995, and in <br /> addition, collected a field quality control sample (equipment rinsate). These samples were <br /> analyzed for TPH as diesel, benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene and total xylenes (BTEX). The <br /> samples were collected using decontaminated equipment. Each sample was collected in one <br /> 1-lid S4= amow.bottW. and two 40-mil:&w grass vials ptwerved with hydrochloric acid. <br /> WOW BPA method 8015 was used for TPH as diesel analysis and EPA method 8020 was <br /> used for BTEX analyses. The samples were analyzed by McCampbell Analytical, Inc., a <br /> DHS certified laboratory located in Pacheco, California <br /> No detectable eoncenaations of any of the analytes were identified. Copies of the sampling <br /> infoamatkm form, the analysis request and.chain-of-custody form and the laboratory results _ <br /> are attached. <br /> The co entrations of,analytes islendfied in ground wales from well:MV-5 during-the April. <br /> 1995 quarterly sampling'event are not consistent with historical data.
