Harprit S. Mattu [EH]
From: Harprit S. Mattu [EH]
Sent: Friday, April 14, 2017 1:59 PM
To: 'David Worfolk'
Subject: RE: Ownership and Name change
Hi David,
I apologize it took a long time to get a response from the state. Because I had already done the inspection it was unique
situation. Any time ownership changes, a new TPID number needs to be obtained. You can call CalRecycle at 1-866-896-
0600 and obtain a new TPID number. Explain to them that the business has changed ownership. Then they will most
likely have me come out to do a closure inspection for the old number.
A benefit of obtaining a new number is that CalRecycle now separates waste tire generators into to regular and small
quantity. When you obtain the new TPID number you will start at the small quantity level. Small quantity generators
only require one inspection and then do not need to be inspected until the business has 50 waste tires removed. Small
quantity is what this business should have been classified as, but it was not because the number was obtained under the
old system.
Let me know if you have any questions,
Thank you,
Harprit S. Mattu
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
1868 E. Mattu [EH] <hmattu@sjcehd.com>
Subject: Ownership and Name change
Hello Harprit,
Since your last visit, our business has changed ownership and has a new name. Design Woodworking, Inc. is now
Merritt West,LLC. All operations remain the same in terms of the work we do and the vehicles we utilize. Please let
me know if I need to complete any additional applications regarding this change.
Thank you.
David Worfolk
Vice President
1
