CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD CENTRAL VALLEY REGION MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM NO. FOR BP OIL COMPANY, STOCKTON FACILITY SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY Specific sample station locations are established under direction of the Board' s staff. Prior to construction, plans and specifications for ground water monitoring and/or extraction wells shall be submitted to Board staff for review and approval . After construction, new wells are to be sampled and analyzed for the constituents below and added to the monitoring program. GROUND WATER MONITORING There are six monitoring wells on-site as shown in Figure 1. The ground water monitoring program for these wells and any additional wells installed subsequently, shall include the following: Sampling Constituents Units Type of Sample Frequency Depth to ground Feet ---- Quarterly water Benzene ug/l Grab Quarterly Toluene ug/l Grab Quarterly Ethylbenzene ug/1 Grab Quarterly Xylene ug/l Grab Quarterly TPH as diesel ug/l Grab Quarterly TPH as gasoline ug/l Grab Quarterly Lead ug/l Grab Quarterly REPORTING Quarterly reports shall be submitted to the Board by the 30th day of the month following the end of each calendar quarter until such time that the Executive Officer determines that the reports are no longer necessary. Prior to startup of a ground water treatment system, the Discharger shall supply Board staff with a ground water monitoring program that will demonstrate the effectiveness of the ground water treatment system. An annual report evaluating the effectiveness and progress of investigation and remediation shall be submitted to the Board by 30 January of each year and may be substituted for the quarterly report for the fourth quarter. The report shall contain at a minimum the following information: both tabular and graphical summaries of the monitoring data obtained during the previous year;
