(Appendix B) . Select samples will be analyzed for benzene, <br /> toluene and xylenes, and ethylbenzene (BTXE) , total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) as gasoline, ethylene <br /> .� dibromide, and organic lead by appropriate EPA and DHS <br /> methodologies . FGL Environmental laboratories will perform <br /> the analyses . <br /> `N The soil cuttings will be covered with 6 mil plastic on- <br /> site . Soil cuttings and groundwater will be properly <br /> disposed of in a timely and appropriate manner after <br /> reviewing the analytical results . The storage area will be <br /> marked off with barricades and a sign will be posted <br /> indicating the source and contents of each pile or drum. <br /> If required, groundwater will be monitored in accordance <br /> Y with WaterWork ' s Groundwater Monitoring Protocol (Appendix <br /> B) . One travel blank will be analyzed for quality control . <br /> Bailers with bottom emptying devices to reduce <br /> volatilization will be used . <br /> �• If a well is determined to be necessary, subsequent to welly s <br /> installation, water samples will be collected from the 44 <br /> ° monitoring well after purging a minimum of four well volumes <br /> L ( casing and sand pack ) from each well . Stabilization of EC, <br /> pH, and temperature will be checked after purging and before <br /> and after sample collection to ensure samples collected are <br /> representative of formation water . The purged water will <br /> remain on-site, in secured 55 gallon drums, until laboratory <br /> results are received . A proposal for treatment or disposal <br /> of the water produced during development will then be <br /> �. prepared . Water sample collection and preservation will be <br /> in accordance with WaterWork 's Groundwater Sampling Protocol <br /> (Appendix B) . The water samples will be analyzed by FGL <br /> Environmental laboratories for BTXE, TPH as gasoline, <br /> ethylene dibromide, and organic lead by appropriate EPA and <br /> DHS methodologies . <br /> 2 . 9 Problem Assessment Report <br /> A Problem Assessment Report will be prepared according to <br /> ,.. Regional Board guidelines summarizing the findings of the <br /> investigation and recommending further course of action, as <br /> • appropriate . The field investigation will be conducted <br /> under the direct supervision of Russell W.
