Fremont Street
' Stockton, California
Project No. 989.2
March 12, 2004
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This report summarizes the 4th Quarter 2003 groundwater monitoring work that took place
at Valley Wholesale Drug Company on November 25, 2003.
' The average groundwater elevation decreased by approximately 0.67 feet since the
September 2003 monitoring event. The groundwater elevation is consistent with previously
recorded groundwater elevations at the site. Site-specific groundwater gradients were
' calculated and indicate a bearing of N65°W with a slope of 0.0083 ft/ft. The groundwater
bearing, calculated from measurements recorded during the November 2003 monitoring
event, is the most westerly to date. Groundwater flow bearing and slope have remained
' relatively consistent since August of 1995.
' Laboratory analysis of the groundwater samples collected during the November 2003
monitoring event show the presence of BTEX and TPH-G in MW-1 and MW-4. BTEX and
TPH-G was below detectable limits in all remaining monitoring wells. MW-2, MW-3, MW-
' 7 and MW-101 were non-detect for all analyzed constituents. Six of the site's nine shallow
groundwater-monitoring wells showed the presence of MtBE at concentrations between 1.0
and 38 pg/L.
' A plot of TPH-G concentrations versus groundwater elevation for MWA indicates that the
concentrations of TPH-G fluctuate with groundwater elevation and that the overall TPH-G
