Fremont Street <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Project No 989 2 <br /> March 29, 2004 <br /> EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br /> This report summarizes the I" Quarter 2004 groundwater monitoring work that took place at <br /> Valley Wholesale Drug Company on February 12, 2004 <br /> ' The average groundwater elevation decreased by approximately 0 67 feet since the <br /> September 2003 monitoring event The groundwater elevation is consistent with previously <br /> recorded groundwater elevations at the site Site-specific groundwater gradients were <br /> ' calculated and indicate a bearing of N22°W with a slope of 0 0038 ft/ft Groundwater flow <br /> bearing and slope have remained relatively consistent since August of 1995 <br /> ' Laboratory analysis of the groundwater samples collected during the February 2004 <br /> monitoring event show the presence of BTEX and TPH-G in MW-1 and MW-4 BTEX and <br /> TPH-G was below detectable limits in all remaining monitoring wells MW-2, MW-3, MW- <br /> ' 7 and MW-101 were non-detect for all analyzed constituents Six of the site's nine shallow <br /> groundwater-monitoring wells showed the presence of MtBE <br /> A plot of TPH-G concentrations versus groundwater elevation for MW-1 indicates that the <br /> concentrations of TPH-G fluctuate with groundwater elevation and that the overall TPH-G <br /> ' concentration has decreased significantly in the past seven years of monitoring (Chart 1) A <br /> plot of MtBE concentrations versus groundwater elevation for MW-6 indicates that the <br />
