Based on the work
completed in this report,EHD recommends that further site investigation is needed to determine the extent
of soil and groundwater contamination.Groundwater monitoring wells must be installed to monitor
impacted groundwater and determine direction of groundwater flow at this site. Also,a complete well and
conduit survey must be conducted to identify potential receptors within 2000 feet of this site.
A work plan to evaluate the vertical and lateral extent of impacted soil and groundwater, install monitoring
wells, and to conduct well and conduit survey should be submitted to EHD by June 10,2002. Please
contact Sam Savig;EHS at(209)468-3453 if you have questions regarding this letter.
Donna Heran,RENS,Director
Environmental Health Department
Sam Savig,EHS Nuel C.Henderson,Jr.RG
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV
I
cc: Marty Hartzell-CRWQCB
John Bower-SECOR
i
I
