Fremont St., Stockton, California <br /> Mr. Infurna: <br /> On behalf of Quik Stop Markets, Horizon Environmental Inc. (Horizon) is submitting the <br /> enclosed Well Permit Applications for the destruction of eight groundwater monitoring wells <br /> associated with the subject site located in San Joaquin County (Figure 1). The eight wells <br /> (MW-1 through MW-8) to be destroyed are shown on Figure 2. <br /> Residual dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons remain in groundwater in wells MW-1, MW-2 <br /> and MW-3; these wells will be destroyed by over-drilling to total depth of the wells and <br /> backfilling with neat cement. Groundwater in the areas of wells MW-4 through MW-8 has <br /> not been impacted with petroleum hydrocarbons; these wells will be destroyed by pressure <br /> grouting. Wells destructions will be conducted as indicated on the applications and <br /> according to San Joaquin County Well Standards-Ordinance Code Section 9-1115.6. <br /> Copies of the off-site property access agreement for well MW-6 and a City of Stockton <br /> encroachment permit for well MW-8 are enclosed.
