Quik Stop Station No 39 September 23, 2005
Stockton California Results of Additional Subsurface invests anon
identify natural surface waters or water wells that could potentially be impacted by
i
hydrocarbon constituents originating from the site
A signed release agreement was secured from the SICEHD to review the DWR records
Horizon reviewed the DWR records and identified five wells within the survey area as
summarized in Table 3 The corresponding map locations are shown on Figure 4 The
identified locations were visited to verify the DWR information
According to Mr Eric Mar of California Water Service Company, former water well CWS #
9-01 (Map ID 1) located approximately 400 feet west-southwest of the site has been out of
service for approximately 15 years but retains the well for possible water level monitoring
According to personnel at HKM Machine Fabrication Company at 2150 East Fremont Street
(Map ID 2) at least one of the three wells appears to have been destroyed There is no
evidence of the other two wells The water well reported at 1943 East Fremont Street (Map
ID 3) no longer exists, the site is currently occupied by a commercial strip mall
No naturally occurring surface water bodies were identified within the survey area There
are no known drinking water wells within a 2,000-foot radius of the site
CONCLUSIONS
The results of this additional subsurface investigation and previous investigations indicate
that soil has not been impacted by gasoline hydrocarbons at the monitoring well locations
Analytical results of soil samples collected during product UST, pipeline and dispenser
upgrades indicate a hydrocarbon source in the vicinity of the southern gasoline dispenser
Vertical and lateral delineation of gasoline hydrocarbons and, specifically DCA, in
groundwater is indicated by the results of this investigation Analytical results of
groundwater samples collected from hydropunch borings SB-1, SB-2 and SB-3 at 94 to 100
feet bsg indicate vertical delineation in the dispenser island area Analytical results of
7039rpt9-0)
Project No 7039 16 7 HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC
