Quik Stop Station No 039 February 28,2000 <br /> Stockton,California. Subsurface Site Assessment <br /> •y elevation data indicates that the groundwater beneath the site is flowing towards the <br /> northwest with a gradient magnitude of approximately 0 007 foot/foot <br /> LABORATORY METHODS <br /> Soil Samples <br /> Selected soil samples collected from borings MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3 were submitted <br /> under Chain-of-Custody to Kiff Analytical, a State-certified laboratory in Davis, California <br /> (Certification No 2236) Soil samples selected for analysis were from depths of <br /> approximately 20, 50, and 60 feet bsg in the above-mentioned borings The eight soil <br /> samples were analyzed for TPHg by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Methods 8015 <br /> or 826013, and the volatile aromatic compounds BTEX and the fuel oxygenate compound <br /> MTBE by EPA Method 8260B The soil samples collected from boring MW-1, located near <br /> the southwest corner of the former UST pit, were also analyzed for the presence of total oil <br /> iand grease (TOG) by EPA Method 5520 D&F, and total petroleum hydrocarbons as motor <br /> oil (TPHmo) and total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPHd) by modified EPA Method <br /> 8015 The composite soil sample SP#1(A,B,C,D) collected from the stockpiled drill <br /> cuttings was analyzed for TPHg, BTEX, and MTBE by EPA Method 8260B and total lead <br /> by EPA Method 6010 <br /> Groundwater Samples <br /> Groundwater samples collected from groundwater monitoring MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3 <br /> were submitted under Cham-of-Custody to Kiff The groundwater samples were analyzed <br /> for TPHg, BTEX, and MTBE by EPA Method 8260B In addition, the groundwater samples <br /> collected from well MW-1 were also analyzed for TOG by EPA Method 1664, and TPHmo <br /> and TPHd by modified EPA Method 8015 EPA Method 1664, a non-freon-based analytical <br /> procedure, was substituted by the analytical laboratory for EPA Method 5520 which is a <br /> freon-based analytical procedure The compound Freon has been ordered by the EPA to be <br /> based out <br /> p and alternative compounds utilized <br /> 7034-12 rpt 6 HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC <br />
