(Environ) during service <br /> station remodeling activities at the above-referenced site(Plates 1 &2). These activities <br /> included product line, fuel dispenser, and underground storage tank (UST) removal and <br /> replacement. The scope of work presented in this document was performed to comply with <br /> City of Stockton Fire Department(SFD), San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> (SJCPHS), and Regional Water Quality Control Board(RWQCB) guidelines. <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Construction activities at the site were performed by American Construction& <br /> Environmental Services, Inc. (American) of Livermore, California. An Enviros <br /> representative was present on-site to observe and monitor the removal of product lines, fuel <br /> dispensers, and USTs. Enviros colle;c#soil samples from beneath former dispensers and <br /> USTs, from product line trenches, and from soil stockpiles. Enviros also coordinated soil <br /> disposal at an appropriate disposal facility and acted as liaison among Shell,American, and <br /> SJCPHS. <br /> 2.0 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The subject property is located on the southwest comer of the intersection of Filbert Street <br /> and Fremont Street. Remodeling of the station included removal and replacement of the <br /> product lines,fuel dispensers and USTs. The remodeled layout of the site includes two <br /> underground storage tanks, four dispenser islands,and a station building (Plate 2). <br /> 3.0 FIELD METHODS AND PROCEDURES <br /> Soil samples were collected by pushing clean stainless steel sample tubes into the soil until <br /> completely filled. The tubes were removed and both ends were covered with teflon tape <br /> and sealed with plastic end caps. The samples were labeled,placed into a cooler with ice, <br /> entered onto a Chain-of-Custody record, and transported to Sequoia Analytical, a <br /> California-certified environmental laboratory,located in Sacramento,California. <br /> Enrhea.
