The letter was prepared in response to our July 10, 2008 <br /> Corrective Action Plan and Response to Request for Interim Remedial Action. The letter requested <br /> additional infor astion to support the selected remedial alternative(lesion chenucal oxidation CISCO])and <br /> proposed bench scale testing(BST)and site assessment activities. The lever established September 1,2008 <br /> as the due date for submittal of a revised Corrective Action Plan(CAP)and Site Investigation Work Plan <br /> (SIWP). CRA and Shell personnel have reviewed the letter and have determined that additional time is <br /> needed to properly perform the evaluation that you suggest and to coherently prepare our response so that <br /> we meet you needs for approving the CAP,BST,and SIWP. In addition,Shell's technical review team <br /> (Shell Global Solutions) requires a 30-day review period for any document related to remedial <br /> reconanendations. Based on,these items,we have detemtined that we cannot meet the established due date. <br /> We dterefore respectively request that the due daft for a response to you letter be extended to <br /> October 15,2008.
