1 <br /> i <br /> PAYMENT <br /> z, „ gBRIA PECEIVEn <br /> JUN 3 0 1998 <br /> SAN Jll&UIN,_.) rY <br /> PUBLIC HEALTrI SER'di�ES <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DIVISION June 29, 1998 <br /> Mr Michael Infurna <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> P O Box 388 <br /> Stockton, California 95201 <br /> Re Site Investigation Report <br /> Shell Service Station <br /> 2494 East Fremont Street <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr Infurna <br /> This report was prepared by Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc (Cambria) on behalf of <br /> Shell Oil Products Company (Shell) to document site investigation activities conducted during <br /> • April 1998 at the above referenced site (Plates 1 and 2) The purpose of the investigation was <br /> to delineate the vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbons previously identified in soil in the <br /> vicinity of the northern dispenser The scope of work followed during this investigation was <br /> presented in Cambria's February 28, 1998 "Work Plan" and April 17, 1998 "Work Plan - <br /> Addendum " This work was performed in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services (SJCPHS) and Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) guidelines <br /> Site Description and Background <br /> CAMBRIA The subject property is located on the southwest corner of the intersection of Filbert Street and <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL Fremont Street The site is an operating Shell service station with two underground gasoline <br /> storage tanks, one underground waste oil tank, four dispenser islands, and a station building <br /> TECHNOLOGY,INC (Plates 1 and 2) <br /> 270 PERKINS STREET, <br /> Soil samples were collected during an underground storage tank (UST), product line, and fuel <br /> PO Box 259 dispenser replacement project in April 1996 Total Purgeable Petroleum Hydrocarbons <br /> SONOMA, quantitated as gasoline (TPPH) were identified primarily in shallow soils beneath the <br /> northernmost dispenser Island near Fremont Street at concentrations ranging from 18 ppm to <br /> CA 95476 6,800 ppm at depths between 3 and 5 feet below grade (fbg) Benzene concentrations in this <br /> 0935-4850 area ranged from none detected (ND) to 9 2 ppm <br /> Fax{O0 935.6649 <br />
