RESPONSE PLAN FOR RELEASES INTO THE SECONDARY CONTAINMENT <br /> A. Description of the proposed methods and equipment to be used for removing the <br /> hazardous substance, including the location and availability of the required equipment <br /> (if not permanently on-site), and an equipment maintenance schedule for the <br /> equipment location on-site. <br /> Foss Environmental is available to provide all necessary equipment and manpower to <br /> remove any hazardous substance that might be released into the seconadary <br /> containment of tank 6. <br /> B. Operator training plan for the operation of the tank system(s) and monitoring <br /> equipment. <br /> The terminal operator is trained in the proper operation of the monitoring equipment. <br /> The terminal operator hand gauges the level in tank#6 and records the levels of the <br /> substances in the tanks. A waste hauler is called to pump out tank#6 when the tank <br /> is at 75% capacity. <br /> The terminal operator is instructed to check the monitor system test system weekly <br /> for proper operation. Any indication of malfunctions are immediately reported to the <br /> terminal manager who arranges for repairs. <br /> The terminal operator is instructed to immediately report the discovery of released <br /> into the annular space to the terminal manager who arranges for removal of all <br /> substances from the tank and annualar space. <br /> C. The name(s) or title(s) of the person(s) responsible for authorizing the work to be <br /> performed. <br /> The terminal manager is responsible for authorizing all work that is performed in <br /> response to releases into the secondary containment. <br /> 4 <br />
