ENVIRONMENTAL H !TH DEPARTMENT
? R!x Avf r111E. SljrF 15 • JACKSON. CA 95642.2020 PRONE (209)223.6439 r
isolot %
I
June. 29 , 1995
TKS Consultinq
P.O . Box 1616
Sutter Creek', CA 95685
RP : Former Ide property, ex-situ remediation of contaminated soils
located on Amador County Assessor Parcel Number 38-210-062 .
21550 State Highway 88 , Trevaskis.
Dear Tim,
Ba7;eri upon v1 sua l /physical inspection of the site conditions and
laboratory analysis of representative soils sampling, this office
does hereby conclude that the remediation process is substantially
complete and that the soils materials " subject to the remediation
process can be utilized as the current property -owner sees fit as
long as an erosion/siltation/runoff problem is not created. The
soils were 6'riginally contaminated primarily with diesel product
and minor contaminations of waste oils were also noted. At this
time , only minor soils staining exists on the remediated soils and
it is estimated that stained soils volume represents less than 1 in
10 , 000 parts!l The bio-remediation process utilized on this project
required substantial introduction of fertilizer product. The
nitrogen component will be somewhat high for a time and it is
recommended that the remediated soils not be placed on or in any
area subjecti'to runoff and erosion or in the immediate vicinity of
a well if the material is to be placed in anysubstantial depth.
hmador County Environmental Health Department does hereby release
any interest in the soils materials associated with this
remediation project.
If you should have an questions , M
Y y q please feel free to contact this
office.
Sincerely ,
Tim R.
