(ATC) on behalf of the above referenced site and
has the following comments.
On September 25, 1998 one groundwater monitoring well (MW-1) was installed on site. '
Three groundwater monitoring events have occurred since that time. Analytical results
from these events have evidenced increasing levels of petroleum hydrocarbon
contaminant impact to groundwater. The most.recent results,.from groundwater
samples collected on July 8, 1999, were 5,200 parts per billion (ppb) total petroleum
hydrocarbons as gas (TPHg), 2,970-ppb TPH kerosene, 3,000-ppb TPH diesel, 292-ppb
benzene and 48-ppb methyl tertiary butyl ether..
Further investigation is necessary at this site. Please prepare a work plan to complete
the definition of the vertical and lateral extent of the contaminant plume in groundwater.
Routine monitoring of MW-1 should continue.
If you have any questions or comments please call Lori Duncan at (209) 468-0337.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
k Lori Duncan, REHS Margaret Lagorio, REHS
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV Supervisor, Unit IV
cc: Mark List, CVRWQCB
Jeanne Homsey, ATC
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
r
a
:.i
