II <br /> 110N <br /> %TC <br /> A S S O C I A T E S I N C <br /> Summary Report of <br /> 1 Additional Subsurface Investigation <br /> Diesel Performance <br /> 2804 East Fremont Street <br /> ' Stockton, California <br /> ATC Project No 62577 0001 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> ATC Associates Inc has prepared this letter report, on behalf of Diesel Performance to <br /> summarize findings of the additional subsurface investigation performed at the above referenced <br /> 1 site (Figure 1) The purpose of the subsurface investigation was to install one groundwater <br /> monitoring well to evaluate if groundwater had been impacted groundwater by petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons present in soil beneath the site This work was done at the request of San Joaquin <br /> ' County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) in correspondence <br /> dated June 12, 1998 The findings of the subsurface investigative study are summarized in the <br /> following paragraphs <br /> 1.1 Site Location <br /> ' The site is located on the south side of Fremont Street and east of Filbert Street in Stockton, <br /> California, as shown on Figure 1 The location is a commercial and residential area and the site is <br /> currently occupied by Diesel Performance <br /> 1.2 Backeround <br /> In February 1987, SEMCO removed and disposed of one 3,000-gallon unleaded gasoline <br /> underground storage tank (UST), associated piping, and fuel dispenser from the location shown <br /> ' on Figure 2 A soil sample collected at 13 feet below ground surface contained elevated <br /> concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbon contaminants The excavation was subsequently <br /> backfilled and resurfaced <br /> ' On July 23, 1997, an ATC geologist supervised the advancement of five soil borings ranging in <br /> depth from 6 to 46 feet below ground surface (bgs) The soil bonngs were advanced using a <br /> truck mounted Geoprobe® narrow diameter ng employing direct push technology Soil samples <br /> were submitted for analysis and contained detectable concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> Site activities were summarized in ATC's Summary Report far Subsurface Investigation, dated <br /> ' October 20, 1997 <br /> w 1625771reNrtslsumu doc 1 <br />
