INTRODUCTION
Prior to performing the Phase II Soil Investigation, an Environmental Record Review dated June
14, 2013 was prepared for the Subject Property (SP) (APN 143-08-024). Indicated during the
Environmental Record Review, there was a former contamination and remediation of the soil
beneath the property adjoining the SP to the east, 2911 East Fremont Street. In order to
determine if contamination originating inside the adjoining property building has migrated onto
the SP, three (3) soil borings were advanced along the east property boundary, just a few feet
outside the mall of the building where the remedial excavation occurred.
The purpose of this investigation was to determine if the former release on the adjoining property
had migrated to the soils beneath the SP at the sand/clay interface at a depth of approximately 30-
35 ft.
2. PHASE II INVESTIGATION
2.1 Soil Borings
Prior to commencing work, the subsurface was cleared of underground utilities by notifying
Underground Service Alert (USA).
