(EA) for this site. The work <br /> plan includes proposed installation and sampling of two additional ground <br /> water monitoring wells to replace the wells which have gone dry. <br /> The locations of the two proposed wells -were selected to monitor the <br /> quality. of ground water which may be 'mi'grating toward domestic water <br /> supply wells ' We agree with'the proposal to monitor the quality of ground <br /> water which may be-migrating toward the water supply wells: However, we <br /> are not solely.:concerned with the possibility of hydrocarbons migration <br /> toward existing domestic wells, but also that .-hydrocarbons may be <br /> migrating off-site in areas that would not .be monitored by .the proposed j <br /> wells. <br /> `i <br /> According. to the report', the gradient of ground water flow at this site <br /> has been variable.
