Q. Box 2009
Stockton, California 95201 ENVIROMENTAL HEALTH
FERMIT/SERVICES
RE: Chevron Service Station 9-7780
Fremont St. , Stockton, CA
Dear Mr. Miller:
Chevron U. S.A. Inc. is in the process of conducting an investiga-
tion of the above-referenced site.
Attached is a copy of our most recent consultant ' s report and a
summary of chemical analysis done at the site to date. Addition-
ally, Chevron has contracted with EA Engineering, Science, and
Technology, Inc. (EA) for further investigations at this site.
Investigations will include:
1 . Review existing data provided by Chevron and readily
available literature.
2 . Conduct an inventory of existing wells within a one-half
mile radius including when available, location, depth,
construction, yield, and usage (both pumping rates and
use ) .
3 . Develop a conceptual hydrogeological model and inputs for
a numerical simulation.
4 . Model using a worst plausible case approach assessing
potential impacts, if any, on existing water supplies.
5 . Development of a brief risk assessment report outlining
the results and providing recommendations for further
action. Depending on the results of the review this
report will either be prepared to comply with the
preliminary report or the problem assessment report as
outlined by the Central Valley Regional water Quality
Control Board (Gordon Lee Boggs memo r_Iat l 2.d March 1987 ) _
