The soils removed from the tai_k <br /> Pit excavation have been stock piled on the site. <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> �w <br /> The purpose of this subsurface Investigation was to provide <br /> an assessment of subsurface soil and water conditions . The <br /> �. Investigation was to include the following work steps: <br /> " Perform a brief review of pertinent geologic and <br /> hydrogeologic data from available literature. - <br /> Explore subsurface soil and groundwater conditions by <br /> drilling, sampling and logging three soil borings <br /> surrounding the tank pit excavation. <br /> " Obtain relatively undisturbed soil samples from each <br /> .� boring for analysis of total hydrocarbons ( THC ) , <br /> benzene, toluene and xylene (BTX) . <br /> " Install 2-inch diameter PVC groundwater monitoring wells <br /> in three soil borings. <br /> Obtain groundwater samples ror analysis of THC and BTX. <br /> " Present the results of the inves U gatian and findings in <br /> _. a summary report . <br /> .� � - 4 - <br />
