CHEVRON/Stockton <br /> May 1987 <br /> MORITORIRO WE" INSTALLATION <br /> FA <br /> Monitoring wells were installed in each of the three soil <br /> borings , The wells were constructed of 2-inch diameter , <br /> 0. 020 inch machine slotted, FVC well screen and blank casing. <br /> Twenty feet of well screen was installed from the bottom of each <br /> p s <br /> boring to a point 30 feet, 32 feet , and 32 feet from the surface <br /> In boring 1, 2, and 3, respectively. The wells were completed to <br /> the surface with blank PVC casing, A well pack consisting of <br /> washed, #2 Monterey sand was placed in the boring annulus from the <br /> pa bottom to approximately 3 to 5 feet above the screen internal . <br /> The wells were then completed tc grade with a bentonite and <br /> t� <br /> concrete seal and a traffic rated street box (see Appendix I for <br /> well Construction details) . <br /> GROUNDUATRR SAMPLING AND MONITORING <br /> bza <br /> The three monitoring wells were developed by hand bailing and <br /> 01�4 sampled with an EPA approved teflon sampler on March 19 , 1987 . <br /> Groundwater samples were collected, preserved, and transported <br /> under chain-of-custody in accordance with GTI 's SOPs 9, 10, and 11 <br /> (sve Appendix II) , The samples were analyzed for total dissolved <br /> hydrocarbons, benzene, toluene, and xylene using a modified EPA <br /> Method 602 . <br /> ?".e wells were monitored on March 23, 1987 to determine the <br /> depth to water and the presence of free floating product, if any. <br /> The monitoring was conducted in accordance with GTI 's SDP 8 (see <br /> Appendix II) <br /> 6 <br />
