22 July 2003
AGE-NC Project No. 97-0327
' A low concentration of dissolved TPH-g was detected in the sample collected from well
MW-2 indicating only a minor TPH-g-impact to ground water in the area assessed. TPH-d
was detected in samples collected from wellsMW-2, MW-3 and MW-4.
W'I
• Low concentrations of dissolved ethylbenzene and xylenes were detected in well MW-2
indicating a minor ethylbenzene and xylene-impact to ground water in the area assessed.
'Im /Ov
• Low concentrations of dissolved MTBE aat-Tl continue to be detected in the sample
' collected from well MW-2 indicating only a minor MTBE=impact to ground water
in the area assessed.
' • Low concentrations of 1,2-DCA continue to be detected in the samples collected from wells
MW-1, MW-2 and MW-4 indicating only a minor 1,2-DCA-impact to ground water in the
area assessed.
' 5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
. Based upon data collected during the June 2003 ground water monitoring and the site assessment
AGE recommends preparation of a closure summary report for the site. Generally, only low
concentrations of petroleum constituents have been reported in wells MW-1 through MW-4,
indicating that there is only a minor mass of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons, which has remained
laterally stable within the well network. The low detectable concentrations of contaminants in the
soil in relation to the ground water table depth, poses a low risk to the ground water at the site. 1
6.0. LIMITATIONS
' Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were based upon
' analytical results provided by an independent laboratory. Evaluation of the geologic/hydrogeologic
conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation was made from review of previous
consultants reports and a limited number of available data points (ground water samples) and
' subsurface conditions may vary away from these data points. No other warranty, expressed or
implied, is made as to the professional interpretations, opinions and recommendations contained in
this report.
•
' Advanced GcoEnvironmental,Inc.
1
