0
iQuarterly Report - Third Quarter 2002
GREWAL'S MARKET rot
4100 East Fremont Street, Stockton, California `
' 1.0. INTRODUCTION
' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.(AGE)has prepared this quarterly report(third quarter)for 4100
East Fremont Street (the site), Stockton, California. The scope of work included conducting a
quarterly ground water monitoring event and preparation of this report. The site setting is illustrated
' in Figure 1. Site structures and monitoring well locations are depicted in Figure 2.
The objective of third quarter activities was to monitor concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons
' in ground water and to characterize ground water flow direction and gradient at the site. This report
is prepared in accordance with guidelines issued by the California Regional Water Quality Control
Board-Central Valley Region(RWQCB)for investigation of underground storage tank(UST)sites.
' A summary of previous investigations conducted at the site is included in Appendix A.
' 2.0. PROCEDURES
A quarterly ground water monitoring event was performed at the site in July 2002. Field work was
' performed in accordance with guidelines issued by the RWQCB for the investigation of underground
storage tanks (UST) sites.
' 2.1. UARTERLY GROUND WATER MONITORING PROCEDURES
Q OC URES
' On 12 July 2002, ground water monitoring and sampling was performed at the site on wells MW-1
through MW-4.Ground water monitoring pn)cedu es for the site were performed as outlined in Yyv
Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan -SeO?A be 999, dated%Septem- ber 1999, prepared by
' AGE and approved by the EHD by letter dated 23-September 199 . Mklep4e'e (
' 2.1.1. Well Monitoring and Evacuation
' Depths to ground water were measured in each well from the top of the well casing to the nearest
0.01-foot utilizing a Solinst water level meter;ground water elevation was calculated by subtracting
the measured depth to ground water from the surveyed casing elevation (Table 2). Ground water
elevations were plotted and contoured on a scaled site map (Figure 3).
After water levels were measured, approximately 6 to 7 gallons of ground water(a minimum of three
casing water-volumes per well)were evacuated(purged)from wells MW-1 through MW-4 utilizing
. a Watera hydro-lift pump. Temperature, pH and conductivity were measured for stabilization at
' Advanced CeoEnvironmental,Inc.
