At conclusion of WW discharge each day, turn all identified equipment to "OFF".
Record daily WW discharge totalizer reading upon completion of each operating
day after validating zero flow.
Unplug power to pH acid pump at end of operating day.
System Operating Parameters:
Wastewater chemical dosages should be based on the following operating
parameters at flowrate of approximately 250 gpm. Adjustments can be amended
based on flowrate:
Coagulant CL 1267- 450 ppm
PolyClear 390- 300 ppm
Flocculant CE 8801- 15 ppm
Perform chemical draw-downs to verify dosages and to ensure clarity wedge is
maintained a level of 30-40 clarity units.
Dewatering products for filter press operation are based on the following
operating parameters after performing liquid filterability testing and water wicking
from hand drain simulation test or "towel-test". Normal standards for product
addition:
Perlite filter aid- 10-15 bags
Bentonite clay- 1-2 bags (only as needed)
Upon completion of sludge conditioning close press and ensure hydraulic
clamping pressure of 3,500 psi. Open inlet sludge feed valve to press and all
filtrate lines. Press start on filter press control panel to initiate "APC" operation
for sludge pump. Typical operational stages are in 25 psi increments, with
completion at maximum of 100 psi. This process is normally complete within 2
hours.
