This current scope of <br /> work is in conjunction with Stantec's April 24, 2009 Remedial Excavation Work Plan. The work plan <br /> was approved by the California Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) in a letter dated <br /> May 22, 2009. <br /> The permit application packet includes the following; <br /> • Well destruction permit application for the destruction of three dual-nested soil vapor <br /> sampling probes; <br /> • Licensed Contractor Declaration (LCD) <br /> • Permit fee ($60.00) <br /> • Site Plan <br /> • Well Construction Details and Boring Logs <br /> Drilling activities are tentatively scheduled to begin December 3, 2009. Before any excavation <br /> work will take place Underground Surface Alert will be notified, a private utility locate company will <br /> be contracted, and the proposed work locations will be cleared down to five feet below ground <br /> surface (bgs) for utilities. The vapor sampling probes Will be destroyed by using either a <br /> Geoprobe® direct push drill rig or hand auger to clear soil around well casing to total depth then <br /> completely remove all well materials. The borings will then be :backfilled with an approved seal <br /> material and capped to match existing grade. <br />
