The Gillit Property is located immediately <br /> west of the former PG&E General Construction Yard located at 401 E. French Camp Road (the <br /> Site). <br /> The proposed scope of work is intended to provide additional delineation of chemical impacts to soil <br /> and soil gas from petroleum hydrocarbons originating from the adjacent PG&E Site. The proposed <br /> work is an adjunct task to the scope of work described in Stantec's April 24, 2009 Remedial <br /> Excavation Work Plan submitted to your agency during previous phases of investigation. Stantec <br /> has informed Ms. Kristi Shelton, the Site's California Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> caseworker, of the pending offsite investigation described herein. <br /> The attached permit application includes the following; <br /> • Well permit application for the advancement of up to five soil borings; <br /> o Master File Record <br /> o Licensed Contractor Declaration (LCD) <br /> o Permit fee ($89.00) <br /> ? o Site Plan <br /> Drilling activities are tentatively scheduled to begin October 22, 2009. Prior to beginning drilling, <br /> Stantec will mark the work area in white paint, and notify Underground Surface Alert, Stantec will <br /> contract with a private utility locator to confirm that each of the proposed drilling locations are free of <br /> detectable subsurface utilities. During field activities, each of the proposed soil borings will be <br /> advanced to five feet below ground surface (bgs) using hand tools to confirm that each location is <br /> clear of shallow subsurface utilities or other obstructions. <br />
