Based on the results from this event there is a clear rebound occurring in contaminant concentrations on the subject site, indicating that a residual, sorbed phase source zone is present and leaching COCs from the soil into the groundwater. A more aggressive source zone treatment technology (and appropriate assessment, if needed) should be employed in the source zone. The iSOC system served the dual purposes of 1 ) removing the COCs from the groundwater as well as 2) removing the continual flow of COCl off site. When the iSOC system was operating, the iSOC tools were feeding the aerobic bacteria, thereby allowing them to decrease the levels of ZB 178N — Bames Trucking.
