CLEARWATER
G R O U P
Envtronmenta7 Services
Oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) over the past quarter ranged from a low of —24 millivolts
(mV) in MW-7 in October 7, 2004 to a high of+31 mV on the same date in MW-3 The ORP
for the iSOC wells ranged from —100 mV in IW-12 to +33 mV in IW-5 on December 7, 2004
The ORP readings indicate a change from originally reducing environment prior to 1SOC
installation to a marginally oxidizing environment at present The shallow groundwater is
currently not strongly oxidizing
SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
• The estimated groundwater flow during this quarter is in southeast direction with a
gradient of approximately from 0 0048 ft/ft to 0 0056 ft/ft
• Groundwater under the site changes gradually from reducing to oxidizing conditions
• Analyzed hydrocarbon concentrations sampled from this quarterly monitoring event
appear to be generally lower than those obtained from previous groundwater monitoring
activities The lower concentrations in the monitoring wells might be related to changes
in water elevation or the influence of 1SOC remediation system
• Continued treatment and monitoring is scheduled for the foreseeable future
I
4Q/04 Groundwater Monitoring Report 10
