1 <br /> CLEARW"VER <br /> G R O U F <br /> Environmentst Services <br /> 1 <br /> Installation and Feasibility Testing Report was submitted on May 9, 2002 From data collected <br />' during these activities, Clearwater developed and submitted a Corrective Action Plan dated <br /> November 20, 2002 to the SJC/EHD <br /> 1 <br /> 2004 <br />' During the third quarter of 2004, twelve remediation infection wells and an oxygen-infusion <br /> system ("iSOC") were installed on the site The 1SOC system has increased DO in the <br />' remediation wells from "baseline" levels of approximately 1 mg/L to concentrations on the order <br /> of 30 mg/L Clearwater is currently conducting monitoring of the 1SOC system, and collection <br /> of DO, ORP, total and ferrous iron, pH, temperature, and specific conductivity measurements on <br /> a bi-weekly basis Clearwater will perform system monitoring on a monthly basis and follow <br /> with a regular quarterly groundwater monitoring schedule <br /> OBJECTIVES <br /> In continuance of quarterly groundwater monitoring activities, the objectives of this current <br /> Isampling and evaluation project were to determine the concentration and distribution of <br /> hydrocarbon contamination in groundwater at the site as well as monitor the performance of <br /> I1SOC remediation, which is currently underway <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING AND SAMPLING ACTIVITIES <br /> Groundwater monitoring and sampling activities were conducted on December 7, 2004 <br /> IGroundwater depth was measured from each of the monitoring wells utilizing an electronic water <br /> level indicator The water level indicator was thoroughly washed in an Alconox® soap bath and <br /> double rinsed with clean tap water prior to placement in each well to prevent possible water <br /> quality influence from exterior sources, and to prevent cross contamination Groundwater <br /> elevations were determined based on the measured depth to water data and surveyed top of <br /> casing elevations Both the derived current and cumulative groundwater elevations are listed in <br /> 4Q/04 Groundwater Monitoring Report 5 <br /> I <br />
