The portion of the sample used for VOC analyses will be removed from the <br /> bailer using the VOC subsampler provided by the bailer manufacturer. All subsamples <br /> will be placed in appropriate containersin the field, labeled, and then stored in an ice <br /> chest pending immediate delivery to a laboratory in Sacramento. Groundwater will be <br /> analyzed for the parameters specified in Monitoring and Reporting Program 71-37. A <br /> duplicate sample will be taken from one of the wells on two occasions per year. It will be <br /> presented to the laboratory as an independent sample from a different source_ <br /> H. Water Level Measurement <br /> The reference point elevations for groundwater elevation measurements will be surveyed <br /> to the nearest 0.01 foot. Depths to groundwater will be measured with a 2-wire sounder <br /> to the nearest 0.01 foot. Thus,the computed groundwater elevations will be reported to <br /> the nearest 0.01 foot. Water level measurement is the first task upon arriving at the wells <br /> for a round of sampling. The time of measurement is noted on the field data sheet. The <br /> groundwater gradient will be computed from depths to water measured in the three wells. <br /> After determining the gradient in four successive quarters additional well(s)may be <br /> recommended if the original three are found unsuitable for detecting groundwater <br /> impacts of the disposal areas. <br /> L Expected Schedule <br /> It is expected to drill and construct the wells on December 21 and 22.
