Page I of 2
Vicki McCartney [EH]
From: Vicki McCartney [EH]
Sent: Tuesday, February 28, 2012 3:52 PM
To: 'wlittle@advgeoenv.com'
Subject: RE: 308 Grant Street
Bill,
Thank you for providing the hard copy laboratory analytical data for influent and effluent air samples collected at
Larry's Auto on 9/15/11 and 12/08/11.
The Environmental Health Department(EHD) sent a letter dated 05 August 2011 directing that the potential threat
from vapor intrusion in the area of the warehouse adjacent to Larry's Auto be evaluated using appropriate data
and risk model and the evaluation be submitted to the EHD by 01 November 2011. Please give me an update
concerning this matter.
Also, by letter dated 11 October 2010, the EHD stated that if the initial findings from the IAS/SVE system were
favorable, then proceed to submit a work plan to install additional extraction wells with in-well air-sparging points
in the southwest area of this site near monitoring wells MW-4, MW-5 and MW-8. What are AGE's plans
concerning this matter?
Vicki McCartney, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
600 East Main Street _
Stockton,California 95202 —
Phone: (209)468-9852
Fax: (209)468-3433
Email: vmccartney@sjcehd.com
From: William Little [mailto:wlittle@advgeoenv.coml
Sent: Tuesday, February 28, 2012 2:46 PM f'
To: Vicki McCartney [EH]
Subject: 308 Grant Street
Vicki McCartney,
AGE has operated and maintained the SVE unit at 308 Grant Street over the past
quarters and operated the SVE unit. At the end of June 2011 approximately 2,786 hours
were listed on the SVE unit and repairs were performed in October to the equipment
(SVE unit not operated in early-mid October to mid-late November). By the end of
December 3,790 hours were on the SVE unit.
In September and December samples-SVE-were collected and analyzed — attached.
Analytical and field reading with organic vapor meters have detected no significant
extraction of impacted soil vapor (likely SVE has remediated the shallow soil impact) and
even after several rebound attempts, the vapor concentrations are not increased.
Another sample from February is at the laboratory and will be available next week. The
total hours from 24 February 2012 is 4,197 hours.
2/28/2012
