.� .1 THOPM ENVIRONMENTAL APPENDIX B SITE SAFETY PLAN Introduction: A Site Safety Plan (SSP) has been designed to address safety provisions during the site assessment and characterization. It's purpose is to establish procedures to protect all on site personnel from direct skin contact, inhalation, or ingestion of potentially hazardous materials that may be encountered at the site. The SSP establishes personnel responsibilities, personal protective equipment standards, decontamination procedures, and emergency action plans. Thorne Environmental, Inc. seeks to enter the property of De Rollo Mazda for the purpose or conducting a site assessment and characterization consisting of up to 8 soil borings to evaluate the extent of soil impact. Soil samples will be collected at five foot intervals during exploratory drilling using a California modified split-spoon sampler through a hollow-stem auger. All possible efforts will be made to collect undisturbed samples. Each sample to be chemically analyzed will be collected in a brass sleeve, capped with lined plastic lids, sealed with tape, and placed in ice in a cooler immediately. All Chain of Custody protocol will be followed. Site Background: This property is a former automobile sales and services location located at Grant an Miner Avenue in Stockton, California in San Joaquin County. The facility contained a 300 gallon waste oil tank, a 5000 gallon gasoline tank, and all associated pipet . Phil Goalwin, will serve as Project Manager and On-Site Geologist. He will also serve as Site Safety Officer (SSO).
