INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr. Charles Skobrak, Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. (AGE)has prepared this <br /> work plan for installation of one ground water extraction well and the performance of a ground water <br /> extraction feasibility test at 308 North Grant Street, Stockton, California(site). The location of the <br /> site is illustrated on Figure 1. A map of the site showing well and structure locations is illustrated <br /> on Figure 2. <br /> In letters dated 31 August and 03 November 2004, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department (EHD) requested the preparation of a work plan for interim remediation feasability <br /> testing to reduce and contain further off-site migration of ground water impacted by high <br /> concentrations of methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), 1,2-dichloroethane and other petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon compounds. The purpose of this work plan is to determine the feasibility of ground <br /> water extraction as an interim remedial option at the Larry's Auto site. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located in a commercial area of low topographic relief in central Stockton, on the <br /> northeast comer of the intersection of Grant Street and Miner Avenue.The site is currently operated <br /> as Larry's Auto Repair and was formerly operated as De Rollo Mazda. Additional site background <br /> information can be found in Appendix A. <br /> 3.0. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The proposed scope of work will consist of the following tasks: <br /> • Permitting and pre-field work preparations; <br /> • Drilling and soil sample collection; <br /> • Installation and development of a ground water extraction well; <br /> • Ground water aquifer extraction(pump) testing; and <br /> • Preparation of a report of findings. <br /> Each of these tasks are discussed below in detail. <br /> Advanced Geo Ene'ironmen[al,Inc. <br />
