(AGE) has <br /> prepared an updated remediation work plan for the site at 308 North Grant Street, <br /> Stockton, California. <br /> 1.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located on the northeast corner of the intersection of Grant Street and Miner <br /> Avenue. The site is currently operated as Larry's Auto Repair and was formerly operated <br /> as De Rollo Mazda. The property is occupied by a single building with attached canopy and <br /> a parking area. In 1987, one 1,000-gallon gasoline underground storage tank (Tank Area <br /> #1) was removed from the northwestern corner of the site. One 1,000-gallon gasoline <br /> underground storage tank (UST) and one 1,000-gallon diesel UST (Tank Area #2) were <br /> removed from beneath the sidewalk at the southeastern corner of the site in 1990. <br /> Petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in soil samples collected beneath each UST. <br /> The upper portion of the site section consists of silty clay and clayey silt with sand lenses <br /> encountered d ri,n�,,���drilling and soil sampling (including cone penatration testing). The <br /> primary Ovate a�`ifi'Unit which can sustain ground water recharge is located at a depth <br /> of 60 feet below surface grade (bsg),the current groundwater table resides at 30 feet bsg; <br /> while the majority of the adsorbed contamination, with aromatic compounds is located '��A� <br /> within the upper section of the site.
