' 26 November 2002
• AGE-NC Project No 95-0184
' 32 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF WATER SAMPLES
TPH-g was detected in all of the sampled monitoring wells at concentrations ranging from
' 120 micrograms per liter(µg/1)in MW-3 to 210,000µg/1 in VW-2B (Figure 3) TPH-d was detected
in the sample from MW-4 at a concentration of 9 644v r ' jQ3
' With the exception of ground water sample MW-3, BTEX compounds were detected by EPA
Method 8260 in all ground water samplis analyzed The maximum concentrations found were
37,000 µg/1 benzene in sample VW-2B and 38,000 µg/1 toluene, 4,400 µg/1 ethylbenzene and
' 20,900µg/1 total xylenes in sample VW-5B Maps ofBTEX concentrations are provided as Figures 4
and 5
' MTBE was detected by EPA Method 8260 in three samples at concentrations of ranging from
22 µg/1(VW-5C)to 510 µg/l (VW-4),none of the other oxygenated volatile organics were detected
at concentrations above laboratory reporting limits A map of MTBE concentrations is provided in
' Figure 6
' • The lead scavenger 1,2-dichloroethane(1,2-DCA)was detected in samples MW-2,VW-2B,VW-3,
VW-4 and VW-5C, at concentrations ranging from 5 7 µg/1(MW-2)to 750 µg/1(VW-2B),the lead
scavenger 1,2 dibromoethane(EDB)was detected in samples VW-2B and VW-5B at concentrations
of 400 µg/l and 220 µg/1, respectively A map of 1,2-DCA and EDB concentrations is provided in
' Figure 7
' Six additional constituents were detected by FYPA Method 8260 at the following maximum
concentrations, naphthalene 1,000 µg/l (VW-4), 1,2,4-tnmethylbenzene 2,700 µg/1 (VW-5B), n-
propylbenzene1400µg/l(VW-5C), 1,3,5 tnmethylbenzene 710µg/1(VW-5B),isopropylbenzene 140
' µg/1 (VW-5C) and n-butylbenzene 120 µg/1 (VW-4) f
Analytical results of ground water samples are summarized on Tables 2 and 3 Copies of the
' laboratory report (CTEL ID 0206-059-1 through 0206-059-10) and chain-of-custody forms are in
Appendix B
' 4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
' Based upon data collected from the site, AGE concludes the following
• Ground water elevations at the site ranged from 19 89 to 20 35 feet below MSL All ground
' water monitoring wells except VW-5B were "drowned", ground water levels were as high
. as approximately 22 feet above the screened intervals of the drowned wells
' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
1
