I k
I 27 Jul 2001
Y
' AGE-NC Project No 95-0184
' 3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF WATER SAMPLES
TPH-g was detected in all of the sampled monitoring wells at concentrations ranging from 82
' micrograms per liter(µg11) in MW-7 to 170,000 µg/1 in VW-2B TPH-d was detected in the sample
from MW-4 at a concentration of 2,700 µg/1
' All of the BTEX compounds were detected in the ground water samples analyzed benzene
concentrations ranged from 2 1 µg/l(MW-7)to 34,000µg/1(VW-2B),toluene concentrations ranged
' from 0 84µg/1(MW-7)to 31,000µg/1(VW-5B),ethylbenzene concentrations ranged from 0 66µg/1
(MW-7) to 3,600 µg/1 (VW-2B), and xylenes concentrations ranged from 0 81 µg/1 (MW-7)-to
19,000 µg/1 (VW-5B)
' None of the oxygenated volatile organics, including MTBE,were detected at concentrations above
laboratory reporting limits during the June 2001 monitoring event 1,2-Dichloroethane (DCA)was
' detected in samples MW-4(840 µg/1) and VW-2B(1,400 µg/]) Seven additional constituents were
detected by EPA Method 8260 at concentrations as high as 3,200 ppb (1,2,4-tnmethylbenzene,
VW-5B)
Analytical results of ground water samples are summarized on Tables 2 and 3 Copies of the
laboratoryreport(MAI Laboratory ID 69658-69667)and chain-of-custody forms are in Appendix B
1
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
' Based upon data collected from the site, AGE concludes the following
' Ground water levels were as high as approximately 24 feet above the screened intervals of
all the monitoring wells The ground water gradient ranged widely, from 0 067 ft/ft along the
northern edge of the site to 0 009 ft/ft down the ground water nose at the north end of the
' property The ground water flow direction varies from nearly north along the north limb of
a ground water nose at the northern part of the property, to approximately east-southeast
' along the southern limb, the flow direction south of this ground water nose is generally
northeast
+ Detectable concentrations of TPH-g as well as all BTEX compounds were found in all of the
' ground water wells sampled, all ground water samples contained one or more analytes at
concentrations above California's Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCLS)
' • No free product was measured during this sampling event, however, the majority of the well
screens are drowned and are not likely to produce direct evidence of free product
1
Advanced GeoE nvi ron mental,Inc
1
