1 Quarterly Report - Third Quarter 2004
LARRY'S AUTO
' 308 North Grant Street, Stockton, California
' 1.0 INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr Charles Skobrak,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE)has prepared this
' quarterly report for the property located at 308 North Grant Street, Stockton, California(site) The
scope of work Included a quarterly groundwater monitoring event and preparation of this report The
location of the site and the surrounding area are Illustrated on Figure 1 Structures and monitoring
' well locations at the site are Illustrated on Figure 2 Site background information is provided in
Appendix A
2.0. PROCEDURES
' Field work was performed in accordance with guidelines Issued by the Central Valley Regional
Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)for the investigation of underground storage tank(UST)
' sites Procedures for the sampling of the monitoring and extraction wells were described in the AGE-
prepared Work Plan Addendum, dated 15 December 1995, and Quarterly Report -August 1997
' 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND PURGING
' On 08 September 2004, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water
In five ground water monitoring wells and five vapor extraction wells relative to the tops of the well
casings The ground water elevations and gradient were determined from this data (Table 1)
' After recording water level measurements,a Waterra Hydrolift Pump was used to purge monitoring
wells MW-1 through MW-4, MW-7, VW-3, and VW-4 of standing water, dedicated disposable
' plastic bailers were used to purge the remaining wells of standing water The wells were generally
evacuated in order of least contaminated to most contaminated, based on previous monitoring data
Between 13 5 and 18 gallons of water(a minimum of three casing-water volumes)were purged from
monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-4, and between 8 and 10 5 gallons of water were purged from
' monitoring well MW-7 and vapor extraction wells VW-2B, VW-3, VW-4, and VW-5C
Approximately 2 25 gallons of water were removed from vapor extraction well VW-5B Ground
water temperature,pH,and conductivity were measured at regular intervals during the purge process
' using an Oakton water analyzer Purged water was stored on-site in properly labeled, Department
of Transportation (DOT)-approved 55-gallon drums The field data sheets are included in
Appendix B
' Advanced GeoEnveronmental,Inc
